Current memory available for partition usage (MB)

The amount of memory that is currently available to the logical partitions on this managed system. This is the amount of active memory on your managed system minus the estimated memory needed by the managed system to manage the logical partitions currently defined on the managed system.

When you create a logical partition that uses dedicated memory, also known as a dedicated memory partition, the managed system reserves an amount of memory to manage the dedicated memory partition. Therefore, the amount in this field decreases for each additional dedicated memory partition that you create.

You can increase this amount by activating any inactive memory on your managed system through Capacity on Demand.
