Memory mode

Indicates whether the logical partition that is associated with this partition profile uses memory from a shared memory pool or whether the logical partition uses its own dedicated memory. (The feature that allows a logical partition to use memory from a shared memory pool is known as Active Memory Sharing.)

Any change you make on this page takes effect only after you shut down and reactive the logical partition that is associated with this partition profile. Rebooting from the logical partition is not sufficient.
