The number of processing units that you want the logical partition to use when you activate this partition profile. If the managed system has at least the desired number of processing units available when you activate this partition profile, then the managed system commits the desired number of processing units to the logical partition. If the desired number of processing units is not available, but at least the minimum number of processing units is available, then the managed system activates the logical partition with the processing units it has.
Each processing unit is equivalent to the processing power of one processor.
You can specify the number of processing units up to the hundredths place.
Any change you make on this page takes effect only after you shut down the logical partition and reactivate this partition profile.
