Profile I/O devices

This area lists the devices that are associated with this partition profile. The list is ordered by unit, bus, and slot.

To select a directly attached Operations Console device, expand the list so that the directly attached Operations Console device is displayed. You can then select the directly attached Operations Console device and click Select.

To display the properties of any of the I/O devices in this area, select the device in this area and click Properties.

This area contains the following columns:

• I/O Device
  The name of each unit, bus, and slot that contains a device that is associated with this partition profile.
• Description
  A description of each device that is associated with this partition profile.
  If the I/O device is an I/O processor (IOP), this description is either PCI I/O Processor or I/O Processor.
  If the slot is empty, this description is Empty slot.
  Otherwise, the window uses the first description it finds in the following hierarchy.
  • Description of the custom card identification number (CCIN)
  • Description of the feature code
  • Description of the Peripheral Component Interface (PCI) class code
  • Unknown
• Location code
  The location code describing the location of each device that is associated with this partition profile.
