Host Channel Adapters

Shows a list of the Host Channel Adapters (HCA) for the managed system.

For each HCA, the following columns are shown:

Physical location

The physical location of each HCA on the managed system.

GUIDs in use

The number of Globally Unique Identifiers (GUIDs) that are in use on each HCA.

GUIDs available

The number of GUIDs on each HCA that are available to be assigned to logical partitions. Each HCA includes 62 GUIDs.

HMC Managed

Indicates whether the Hardware Management Console (HMC) is able to manage the assignment of GUIDs on the HCA. If the value is No, the HCA is in an error state that prevents the HMC from configuring the GUID allocation.
