When this value is True, the managed system is able to perform hardware discovery to capture hardware inventory for the managed system. The hardware discovery process captures information about hardware that does not have a partition assignment, as well as hardware with assignments to inactive partitions. The hardware discovery process runs whenever the managed system is powered on in hardware discovery mode and the process writes the hardware inventory that it collects to a cache on the system. The HMC also can use this capability to enhance the information that it can capture when creating a system plan.
