Survey Results
Displays the survey results:
- Partition
- Displays the partition number that owns the device.
- Install
- Click the check box to select that device for updating.
A check box is automatically selected if the Effect is None
and the Suggested Action is Update.
- Logical Device
- Displays the AIX logical device name.
- Device
- Displays the description of the physical device.
- MTMS
- Displays the machine type, model, and serial number for this device.
- Current Level
- Specifies the current service level.
- Available Level
- Specifies the service level available in this repository location.
- Effect
- Describes
what action you may need to perform on your system for
the device to fully update.
- None - Device can be updated concurrently.
- Take Offline - User intervention may be needed to update the device.
- Reboot - Will cause a system reboot after the update is applied.
Before flashing the system firmware, notify all users on all partitions
and shut down all partitions except for this service partition.
- Suggested Action
- Suggests the action to take for each device.
For example, if the column indicates Update,
update the I/O adapter or device firmware to that level.
Values are:
- No Action - Device is at the level of the survey.
Cannot be selected.
- Update - Recommend updating the device to the level
specified.
User can uncheck if an update is not requested.
- Backlevel - Device is at a level higher than the survey.
Cannot be selected.
- Cannot Determine - The application cannot determine
if the device should be updated.
Cannot be selected.
- Cannot Manage - The application cannot apply service to this device.
The repository surveyed has specified that this device
cannot be updated at this time.
Cannot be selected.
Note: Your service provider's web site will contain the most recent
information regarding device updates.
- Not Service Partition - The application has detected
that the system firmware can be updated but this can only be
done using a service partition.
Cannot be selected.
