Use this page to create a virtual disk on your managed system. (Virtual disks are also known as Volume Groups.)
Using this page is equivalent to using the
mklv -lv FULLNAME VGNAME SIZEcommand in the command line interface.
Specify the name of the virtual disk that you are about to create.
Specify the logical or file-based storage pool you want to use to create the virtual disk. This field indicates the amount of disk space in the default storage pool that you can allocate to the virtual disk that you are about to create. This amount displays in megabytes (MB). If there is more than 1024 MB available in the default storage pool, this amount also displays in gigabytes (GB).
Specify the amount of disk space that you want to allocate to the new virtual disk. You can specify the virtual disk size in megabytes (MB), gigabytes (GB), or terabytes (TB). One GB is equivalent to 1024 MB, and 1 TB is equivalent to 1024 GB.
Specify the logical partition you want to assign the virtual disk to. For a client partition name to appear in the list, the VIOS must have a virtual SCSI server slot allocated for that client partition.
