Modify Physical Volume Assignment

Use this page to change the logical partition assignment setting for the physical volumes that you selected in the work area of the Physical Volumes tab. You can change the logical partition to which these physical volumes are assigned or set the physical volumes so that they are not assigned to any logical partition.

You can add physical volumes to or remove physical volumes from any logical partition, regardless of whether the logical partition is running. If you remove a physical volume from a running logical partition, you are prompted to confirm the removal before the physical volume is removed.

New partition assignment

Select the partition name and partition ID of the logical partition to which you want to assign the physical volumes listed on this page. Select None if you do not want to assign the physical volumes to any logical partition.
