Paging Space Device Selection

Use this panel to find and select paging space devices to add to the shared memory pool.

First, specify the filter properties to see a list of available paging space devices. You can filter the list of available paging space devices by device type and by specifying a minimum or maximum device size. After you have specified the filter properties, click Refresh to display the resulting paging space devices. You can choose one or more paging space devices to add to the shared memory pool.

Note: The paging space devices for an AIX or Linux shared memory partitions must be at least the size of the maximum logical memory of the shared memory partition. The paging space devices for IBM i shared memory partitions must be at least the size of the maximum logical memory of the shared memory partition plus 8 KB for every megabyte. For example, if the maximum logical memory of the shared memory partition is 16 GB, its paging space device must be at least 16.125 GB.

After you have selected the desired paging space devices, click OK to add the selected devices to the shared memory pool.
