Displays the current state of the partition. Possible values are:
Running: The logical partition is powered on and running.
Starting: The logical partition is in the process of powering on.
Open Firmware: The logical partition is in System Management Services (SMS) mode. This state applies to AIX, Linux, or Virtual I/O Server partitions. The logical partition is in SMS mode if the server can't find the boot device, if the partition is started using a profile that specifies SMS boot mode, or if the user presses F1 while starting the logical partition.
Not Activated: The logical partition is powered off. If the managed system is powered off, the state of the logical partition is always off.
Not Available: The logical partition is unavailable because the state of the managed system is Error, Recovery, or Incomplete.
Shutting Down: The logical partition is in the process of powering off.
Error: The logical partition is running, but it requires attention. Use the Reference Code History window (under Serviceability) to see the reference codes that describe the problem.
Hardware Discovery: The HMC is performing a Hardware Discovery operation on the logical partition. Hardware Discovery attempts to read information about the available I/O adapters so that the HMC can display this information. The logical partition returns to the Not Activated state once this operation has completed.
Migrating - Running: The logical partition is migrating. The partition is in the Running state.
Migrating - Not Activated: The logical partition is migrating. The partition is in the Not Activated state.
