1. 當特指 IBM 產品時，IBM 允許協力廠商在無許可權或授權的狀況下使用 IBM 產品名稱。
   例如：IBM ThinkPad 是可攜式筆記本電腦。
2. 當指示 IBM 與其他產品相容時，IBM 允許協力廠商在無許可權或授權的狀況下使用 IBM 產品名稱。
   例如：XYZ 與 IBM WebSphere 軟體產品相容。IBM Lotus Notes 的 XYZ。

請注意，重點是您公司所生產的產品名稱及任何所附包裝產品。標籤應強調您產品的名稱，以便其明確顯示為是使用 IBM 產品開發、與 IBM 產品相容，或在 IBM 產品上執行的應用程式。

合理參照 IBM 產品名稱的一般規則

以下是合理使用 IBM 產品名稱的一般規則：

1. 通訊中第一次使用每個 IBM 產品名稱時都必須在註腳或歸屬權中識別出來。歸屬權必須位於 IBM 產品名稱所在的頁面/螢幕上，或者位於參考該名稱之通訊或網站的法律部份。請注意，有關使用商標或產品名稱的法律因國家而異。請一律諮詢當地律師，以取得其他指引。

   例如：IBM^(R) ThinkPad^(R) 600 膝上型電腦可以處理您的機動運算檢核。IBM^(R) MVS^TM 作業源系統 ...
   標示產品名稱的規則因國家而異。您可能需要從商標專家那裡尋求指引。
3. 產品名稱應用作定義名詞的形容詞，它是產品或服務的同屬說明。產品名稱也應為單數形式。
   例如：將提供三台 ThinkPad 膝上型電腦 ...
4. 請勿變更產品名稱的格式或表示方法，包括大寫或標點。
   例如：ThinkPad^(R)、WebSphere^(R)、DB2^(R)、Lotus^(R)、Tivoli^(R)

使用 "IBM" 作為公司名稱

在文字裡，"IBM" 這三個字母既是國際商業機器股份有限公司的商標 (產品名稱)，也是該公司名稱的縮寫。當 "IBM" 用於識別國際商業機器股份有限公司時，它便稱為註冊名稱。註冊名稱通常用於指公司，而非特殊產品。如果 IBM 指國際商業機器股份有限公司，您可將 IBM 用作所有格。此時，該名稱不代表貨品或服務 (它們在法律上屬於商標範疇)。

IBM 商標的不正確用法

• 請勿省略 IBM 商標的註腳/歸屬權。
• 請勿變更已核准的 IBM 商標。
• 請勿為 IBM 或 IBM 產品名稱建立任何新的標誌。
• 請勿將任何 IBM 的產品名稱納入到您公司的產品名稱中。
• 請勿將任何 IBM 的產品名稱納入到您公司所擁有之任何網站的根網域中。
• 當在文字中使用名稱 IBM 時，請不要有拼字錯誤或使用小寫字母。
• 請勿使用 IBM 標語。

• 請勿使 IBM 商標中有拼字錯誤，或大寫錯誤。第一次使用時，請一律在已進行商標註冊的 IBM 名稱前加上字母 IBM。
