Explanation
This message displays three categories of VDisk names, each with a heading. The categories are displayed in the following sequence:
- Names of VDisks that will be created if you click Next. The heading is 'The following n VDisks will be created:'. If n is zero because there are no VDisks with valid names that can be created, the Next button will not be available for selection.
- Names of VDisks that cannot be created because a VDisk with that name already exists. The heading is 'The following n VDisks already exist:'. An asterisk after the VDisk name indicates that the existing VDisk with that name has a capacity that is not identical to the capacity of the source VDisk that you have selected. This is a warning that applications requiring identical capacity for FlashCopy source and target VDisks will not allow you to establish a FlashCopy relationship between the source VDisk that you have selected and VDisks with names in this list that are followed by an asterisk. FlashCopy Manager is an example of an application with the identical capacity restriction.
- Names of VDisks that cannot be created because the concatenation of the source VDisk name, target name and sequence number would result in a new target name that exceeds the maximum supported VDisk name length of 15 characters. The heading is 'The following n names are too long:'.
Action
