Use the Adding a Node to a Cluster panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
add a node to a cluster.
Introduction
Attention: For availability purposes, connect the nodes in an
I/O group to different uninterruptible power supply units.
Fields
You
can update the following fields:
- Node
- Select the node to add to the cluster.
- I/O Group Name
- Select the I/O group that you want to assign the node to.
- Node Name
- Enter a new name for the node. This field is optional. The name
that you choose must meet the following requirements:
- The first character cannot be numeric.
- The name cannot start with the word node. Node is a reserved
word.
- The name can be a maximum of 15 characters.
If you do not specify a name, a default name is assigned.
Actions
The
following actions are available:
- OK
- Click this button to add a node to the cluster.
- Cancel
- Click this button to exit this panel.
