You can change the master console host
name anytime. When you change the host name, you must also be sure
that other master console applications
are updated to use the new name.
Perform the following steps to change
the host name and to update
the name in other master console applications:
- Right-click on My Computer from
the desktop.
- Click Properties.
- Click Computer Name.
- Click Change.
- Type the master console host
name in the Computer name field.
- Click More.
- Type
the full path information in the Primary DNS suffix
of this computer field.
- Click OK until
you return to the desktop.
- Click Yes to
restart
the master console system
so that the change to the host name is applied.
