Use the Clearing Port Settings in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
clear the IP address settings for the selected port. If you clear
the IP address settings for the cluster that you are currently connected
to, you may need to reconnect to the cluster.
Attributes
The
following attributes are displayed for IPv4 port settings:
- Cluster Ethernet Port
- Displays the port number for the Ethernet connection to the cluster. SAN Volume Controller supports
two Ethernet ports to provide redundancy.
- IP Address
- Displays the IP address of the cluster.
- Service IP Address
- Displays either the static IP address that was defined for the
service IP or DHCP, which indicates that the service IP address is
dynamically generated by a DHCP server.
Note: If you
do not select a service IP address, the SAN Volume Controller selects
DHCP to automatically assign a service IP address.
The
service IP address is used if the node needs to be started after it
has been removed from the cluster.
- Subnet Mask
- Displays the subnet mask of the cluster. Subnet masks are only
valid for IPv4 addresses.
- Gateway
- Displays the IP address for the default gateway for the cluster.
The following attributes are displayed for IPv6
port settings:
