Adding a cluster

You can add a cluster to the server from the Adding a Cluster panel.

You must have the Administrator or the Security Administrator role to add the cluster to the server.

This task assumes that you are at the Welcome panel for the SAN Volume Controller Console.

Perform the following steps to add a cluster:

  1. Click Clusters in the portfolio. The Viewing Clusters panel is displayed.
  2. Select Add a Cluster from the list and click Go. The Adding a Cluster panel is displayed.
  3. Type the IP address of the cluster.
    • If the cluster has not been fully created (that is, you have created the cluster using the front panel), select the Create (Initialize) Cluster check box.
    • If the cluster is already in use (that is you are just adding this cluster to the list of managed clusters for this installation of the SAN Volume Controller Console) do not select the Create (Initialize) Cluster check box.
  4. Click OK.
