Restoring a cluster configuration

You can restore a cluster configuration by using the Restoring a Cluster Configuration panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console.

Introduction

Attention: Before restoring the backup file of a cluster configuration, it is important to understand the related restrictions and the circumstances necessary for success. Refer to the related topics that are linked from this topic for that information.

The logical cluster configuration is restored, not the data your enterprise uses to run its business.

Fields

The following field can be updated:

Format virtual disks (write zeros to managed disk extents) during restoration
Select this if you want your virtual disk formatted with all zeroes during restoration.

Actions

The following actions are available:

OK
Click this button to restore the cluster configuration.
Cancel
Click this button to exit this panel without restoring the cluster configuration.
