Use the Sign On to the Cluster panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
authenticate to the selected cluster.
Introduction
If
the SAN Volume Controller cluster
is running version 5.1.0 or later of the SAN Volume Controller software,
you can sign in to the cluster using the either of the following user
name and password combinations:
- User name is superuser and the password
is the cluster superuser password. If you do not know the cluster
superuser password, you can reset it from the front panel of a node,
or by issuing svctask chuser command from the command-line
interface.
- A user name and password that matches any user that is currently
defined on the cluster.
If the SAN Volume Controller cluster
is running version 4.3.1 of the SAN Volume Controller software,
you can sign in to the cluster using either of the following
user name and password combinations:
- User name is superuser and the password
is the cluster administrator password. If you do not know the cluster
administrator password, you can reset it from the front panel of a
node, or by issuing the svctask chcluster -admpwd command
from the command-line interface.
- A user name and password that you migrated from the SAN Volume Controller Console version
4.3.1 using the User Migration Utility during the upgrade of the SAN Volume Controller Console.
Fields
The
following fields can be updated:
- User Name
- Enter the name of the user that you want to authenticate to the
cluster.
- Password
- Enter the password that is associated with the user.
Actions
The
following actions are available:
- OK
- Click this button to sign on to the cluster.
- Cancel
- Click this button to exit the panel without signing in to the
cluster.
