Use the Confirming the Deletion of a Managed Disk panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to confirm the deletion of a managed disk. When a virtual disk (VDisk) is still using the MDisk, you must confirm to force the deletion of the MDisk from the MDisk group.
If you are not sure to delete the MDisk, click Cancel.
If you are certain to delete the MDisk, you must force the deletion by clicking Force Delete.
If you click Force Delete, the system tries to migrate the MDisk extents (used by the VDisk) to one or more MDisks within the MDisk group. If there are not enough free extents in the group, the MDisk is not deleted.
It can take some time for the MDisks to be removed. The time it takes depends on various factors, such as the number of MDisks that are removed from the group and the number of the extents that are required to be migrated.
