You can delete ports from a host object using the Deleting
Ports from a Host panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console.
Fields
The
following fields are can be updated:
- Connection Type
- Select the type of connection that the host uses to attached to
the cluster. The following options are available:
- Fibre Channel
- Select this option if the host attaches to the cluster through
fibre channel connections. If you select this options, then specify
the following attributes for the fibre channel connection:
- Available Ports
- Select a port in the list and select Add to
include it in the list of Selected Ports.
Each port has a
worldwide port name (WWPN) that is associated with it.
Deleted
ports are listed in the Unconfigured WWPNs list. Any virtual
disks (VDisks) that are mapped to the host object no longer use the
port.
- iSCSI
- Select this option if the host attaches to the cluster through
iSCSI connections. If you select this option, then specify the following
attributes for the iSCSI connection:
- Available iSCSI Names
- Select the iSCSI qualified name from the list and select Add to
include it in the list of Selected iSCSI Initiators.
Actions
The
following actions are available:
- OK
- Click this button to delete a port from a host.
- Cancel
- Click this button to exit the panel without deleting a port from
a host.
