Deleting a virtual disk-to-host mapping: Panel help

You can delete a mapping between a virtual disk (VDisk) and a host object using the Deleting a Virtual Disk-to-Host Mapping panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console.

Introduction

Deleting a mapping means that the VDisk is no longer accessible to the host object, and I/O operations are no longer possible. When the mapping is deleted, the VDisk appears to the specified host objects as deleted or offline.

Attributes

The following attributes are displayed:

VDisk: Displays the name of the VDisk.
Host: Displays the name of the host object.
SCSI ID: Displays the SCSI ID of the VDisk.
UID: Displays the unit identifier of the VDisk.

Actions

The following actions are available:

Delete: Click this button to delete the mapping.
Cancel: Click this button to exit the panel without deleting the mapping.
