Deleting a virtual disk-to-host mapping

You can delete a mapping between a virtual disk (VDisk) and a host object using the Deleting a Virtual Disk-to-Host Mapping panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console.

Introduction

Deleting a mapping means that the VDisk is no longer accessible to the host object, and I/O operations are no longer possible. When the mapping is deleted, the VDisk appears to the specified host objects as deleted or offline.

Attributes

The following attributes are displayed:

VDisk
Displays the name of the VDisk.
Host
Displays the name of the host object.
SCSI ID
Displays the SCSI ID of the VDisk.
UID
Displays the unit identifier of the VDisk.

Actions

The following actions are available:

Delete
Click this button to delete the mapping.
Cancel
Click this button to exit the panel without deleting the mapping.
