Use the Filtering
Source VDisk Candidates panel in
the Create FlashCopy® Mappings
wizard to filter a list of available virtual disks (VDisk) that will
be the
source for the FlashCopy mapping.
Introduction
Specify
filter criteria, or click Next to skip this
step and
view all of the VDisks that are available for FlashCopy mapping.
If you skip this
step, you have the option to filter the list in the next step.
Attributes
The
following attributes are displayed in the table:
- Virtual
Disk Name
- Enter a name of a specific VDisk candidate or enter
part of the name using
asterisk characters (*) as wild cards to complete the name. For example VDISK* displays
results for any source VDisk candidates that have a name that begins
with VDISK.
- I/O Group
- Select the name of an I/O group that the candidate
VDisks
is a member of. The menu provides a list of all available I/O groups.
- Virtual Disk Type
- Select the type of
VDisks to display. The following types are available:
- Any
- Select this to display all VDisks that are members of the selected
I/O
group in the filter.
- Sequential
- Select
this type to only display sequential VDisks in the filtered list.
- Striped
- Select this type to only display
striped VDisks in the filtered list.
- Image
- Select this type to only display image VDisks in the filtered
list.
- Many
- Select
this type to only display mirrored VDisks in the filtered
list.
- State
- Indicates
the operational state of the VDisks. Select one of the
following
states to filter the list of source VDisks to be used in the FlashCopy mapping:
- Any
- Select this to display VDisks that have any state in the filtered
list.
- Offline
- Select this state
to only display source VDisks that are offline in the
filtered list.
- Online
- Select this
state to only display source VDisks that are online in the
filtered list.
- Degraded
- Select
this state to only display source VDisks that are degraded in the
filtered list.
- Managed
Disk Group Name
- Enter the name of a managed disk group that
the candidate VDisks are members
of. You can enter part of the name if you use asterisk characters
(*) as
wildcards to complete the name. For example MDISKGRP* would
display results for any source VDisk candidates that are part of an
MDisk
group that has a name that begins with MDISKGRP.
Actions
The
following actions are available:
- Back
- Click
this button to return to the previous panel.
- Next
- Click this button after you have completed this panel.
- Cancel
- Click this button to exit this
wizard without creating a FlashCopy mapping.
