You can create
a FlashCopy® consistency group
from the Creating FlashCopy Consistency Groups
panel in SAN Volume Controller Console.
Fields
You
can update the following fields:
- FlashCopy Consistency
Group Name
- Enter a name for the FlashCopy consistency
group.
If you do not specify a name, the system assigns a default name.
The
default name is the string fccstgrp,
followed by a system-assigned ID. For example, if you do not specify
a name in the FlashCopy Consistency Group Name field, fccstgrp1 is
the name that is assigned to the first consistency group, fccstgrp2 is
the name that is assigned to the second consistency group, and so
on.
- Automatically
delete the consistency group when empty
- Select
this option to delete the consistency
group if the last mapping in the group is deleted or moved out of
the consistency group. When you select this option, the FlashCopy
mapping table refreshes so only mappings that are enabled for automatic
deletion are displayed. When you enable the Automatically
delete option for the consistency group, all FlashCopy
mappings within the consistency group are enabled for automatic deletion.
- FlashCopy Mappings
- Select
a FlashCopy mapping to add to the consistency
group. If you do not select any mappings, an empty consistency group
is created.
Actions
The
following actions are available:
