Stopping FlashCopy mapping

Use the Stopping FlashCopy® Mapping panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to stop FlashCopy mapping.

Introduction

Stopping a FlashCopy mapping causes it to enter the Stopping state. If any mappings depend on this mapping, this mapping remains in the Stopping state until data is copied from the target virtual disk (VDisk).

You can also select Split Stop action to break the dependency of the source VDisk on any FlashCopy mapping that has dependent target VDisks. This action stops the FlashCopy mapping immediately; however, the target VDisks remain dependent on the FlashCopy mappings that it was dependent on prior to the stop. You can only use the Split Stop action when progress of the copy operation for the FlashCopy mapping is 100% complete.
