Use the Viewing Hosts panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
display the hosts that belong to this cluster.
Introduction
To learn more about the attaching
to hosts, select either Fibre Channel or iSCSI to launch a tutorial
e-Learning module which provides an overview on attaching the SAN Volume Controller to
fibre channel hosts or iSCSI hosts, respectively.
Attributes
The
following attributes are displayed in the table:
- Select
- Allows you to select the host to use to perform an action from
the task list.
Note: Only one row can be selected at a time.
- Name
- Displays the name of the host object. You can click on the link
in this column to display detailed information about the host.
- Port Count
- Displays the number of ports (WWPNs and iSCSi names) that are associated with
this host object.
- I/O Group Count
- Displays the number of I/O groups that are mapped to this host.
- Port Mask
- Displays the 4-character port login mask for the host. Valid mask
values range from 0000 (no ports enabled) to 1111 (all ports enabled).
For example, a mask of 0011 enables port 1 and port 2. The default
value is 1111 (all ports enabled).
Actions
You
can select one of the following tasks from the task list:
- Create a Host
- Modify a Host
- Delete a Host
- Add Ports
- Delete Ports
- Show the VDisks Mapped to this Host
Note: With the exception of the Create a Host task,
you must first select a host before you can select a task.
- Go
- Click this button after selecting a task from the task list. Clicking Go launches
the panel for the task that you selected.
- Refresh
- Click this button to refresh the table with changed values.
