There are restrictions for sharing HP MA and EMA subsystems
between
a host and a SAN Volume Controller cluster.
An HP MA or EMA
can be shared between a host and a
SAN Volume Controller cluster
under the following conditions:
- A host cannot be connected
to both a SAN Volume Controller cluster
and an HP MA or EMA subsystem at the same
time.
- Target ports cannot be shared between a host and a SAN Volume Controller cluster.
Specifically, if an HSG80 port is in use
by a SAN Volume Controller cluster,
it cannot be present in a switch zone that enables a host to access
the port.
- LUs and RAID arrays cannot be shared between a host
and a SAN Volume Controller cluster.
