Before you can attach the host that is running the Microsoft® Hyper-V operating
system, you must install the host bus adapter (HBA).
Before you install the HBA, ensure that it is supported by
the
SAN Volume Controller. See
the supported hardware list at the following
IBM® Web
site if you need to verify that the HBA is supported:

To install the HBA, use the following general steps:
- Shut down your host and its attached peripheral devices,
following the recommendations of the manufacturer.
- Install the HBA, using the adapter installation instructions
of the manufacturer.
