This section provides an overview of the requirements for
attaching the SAN Volume Controller to

operating system.
The following list identifies the requirements
for attaching the SAN Volume Controller to
a host running the Microsoft Hyper-V
operating system:
Ensure that there are enough fibre-channel adapters installed
in the server to handle the total logical unit numbers (LUNs) that
you want to attach.
Ensure that you have the documentation for the Microsoft Hyper-V operating system, the
guest host operating system, and the IBM® System
Storage SAN Volume Controller Model 2145-XXX Hardware
Installation Guide.

Ensure that you have installed the correct operating systems and
version levels on your host. Be sure to review the device-driver installation
