Installing the 2145 UPS

Before you can use the SAN Volume Controller 2145-4F2, you need to install the uninterruptible power supply.

The SAN Volume Controller 2145-4F2 node can operate with either the 2145 UPS or the 2145 UPS-1U. For more information about installing the 2145 UPS-1U, see Installing the 2145 UPS-1U and then Connecting the SAN Volume Controller 2145-4F2 to the 2145 UPS-1U.
Complete the following steps to install the 2145 UPS:
  1. Install the support rails for the 2145 UPS.
  2. Install the 2145 UPS into the rack.
  3. Connect the 2145 UPS battery.
  4. Connect the power cables to the 2145 UPS.
