Modifying partner node

Use the Modifying Partner Node panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to change attributes for the partner node.

Attributes

The following attributes are displayed:
Node Name
Displays the name of the node.
iSCSI Name
Displays the iSCSI qualified name (IQN) for the node. For SAN Volume Controller nodes this is always iqn.1986-03.com.ibm:2145.<cluster name>.<node name>, where <cluster name> and <node name> depend on the values configured for the cluster.
iSCSI Alias
Displays the alias name for the node which identifies it to the iSCSI-attached host. The alias name can consist of any printable ASCII character, but cannot begin or end with a space. An alias name cannot exceed 79 characters.

Fields

The following fields can be updated:
New Partner Node Name
Enter the new name for the partner name.
New Partner Node Alias Name
Enter the new alias name for the partner node. The alias name can consist of any printable ASCII character, but cannot begin or end with a space. An alias name cannot exceed 79 characters.

Actions

The following actions are available:

OK
Click this button to change the partner node.
Cancel
Click this button to exit this panel without changing the partner node.
