Use the Capacity License Settings panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
select the set licensing values for Capacity Licensing scheme for
your cluster.
Introduction
Use this licensing scheme if you
purchased SAN Volume Controller (5639-VC*).
With this type of licensing, you select the number of terabytes that
are available for your license for virtualization, for Metro Mirror
and Global Mirror relationships, and for FlashCopy® mappings. The license applies
to the entire site, so you need to allocate capacity for all the clusters
that are located on the site. The virtualization limit represents
the amount of storage that you are permitted to virtualize for the
cluster. It must be set to a nonzero value before you can use the
system. Verify your license information to determine the following
information: - The amount of virtual storage (in terabytes) that your license
permits.
- The Metro Mirror, Global Mirror, and FlashCopy capacities
that your license permits.
