The first step for attaching a host that runs the NetWare
operating system is to install the host bus adapter (HBA).
Before you install the HBA, ensure that it is supported by
the
SAN Volume Controller.

To install the HBA, use the following general steps:
- Shutdown your host and its attached peripherals, following
the manufacturer's recommendations.
- Install the HBA, using the adapter manufacturer's installation
instructions.
