Use the Filtering
VDisk panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
specify filter criteria to limit the number of virtual disks (VDisks)
that
are displayed.
Introduction
The
criteria that you specify control which VDisks are
displayed
on the panel. Filtering is useful when you have a large number of
VDisks that
can potentially be displayed. If you do not specify new filter criteria,
the SAN Volume Controller uses
the most recent filter criteria that you used unless it cannot retrieve
it.
Fields
You
can update the following fields:
- Virtual Disk Name
- Enter the full or partial name of the VDisk to view. If you use
a partial
name, you must follow the name with an asterisk (*). For example,
if you want
to display only VDisks with a name that starts with the characters
Stri, type
Stri* in the Virtual Disk (VDisk) Name field.
- I/O Group
- Enter the I/O group that the VDisk
to view is a member of.
- Virtual
Disk Type
- Select the type of VDisk to view. The following
values are possible:
- Any
- Sequential
- Striped
- Image
- State
- Select
the state of the VDisk to view. The following values are
possible:
- Any
- Offline
- Online
- Degraded
- Formatting
- Hosts
- Select
the type of host to view. The
following values are
possible:
- Managed Disk Group Name
- Enter
the full or partial name of the MDisk group that contains
the VDisk to view. If you use a partial name, you must follow the
name with
an asterisk (*). For example, if you want to display only VDisks that
belong
to an MDisk group with a name that starts with the characters Stri,
type Stri*
in the Managed Disk Group Name field.
Actions
The
following actions are available:
- Bypass Filter
- Click this button to display all VDisks.
- OK
- Click this button to display the VDisk based on specified filter
criteria.
- Cancel
- Click this button
to exit the panel.
