Filtering VDisks

Use the Filtering VDisk panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to specify filter criteria to limit the number of virtual disks (VDisks) that are displayed.

Introduction

The criteria that you specify control which VDisks are displayed on the panel. Filtering is useful when you have a large number of VDisks that can potentially be displayed. If you do not specify new filter criteria, the SAN Volume Controller uses the most recent filter criteria that you used unless it cannot retrieve it.

Fields

You can update the following fields:
Virtual Disk Name
Enter the full or partial name of the VDisk to view. If you use a partial name, you must follow the name with an asterisk (*). For example, if you want to display only VDisks with a name that starts with the characters Stri, type Stri* in the Virtual Disk (VDisk) Name field.
