Use
the Viewing Extent Migration Progress panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
monitor the progress of migrating data (extents) from one MDisk to
another. Start the process of migrating extents either with the svctask
migrateexts command in the command-line interface or by using
the Migrating MDisks Extents wizard.
Introduction
To
view the progress of migrating extents, click Extent Migration in
the portfolio.
If you have many extents that are currently being
migrated, you can filter the list. In the actions list, click Show
Filter Row and then click the link under the column to
filter. This displays a new panel where you can define filter criteria.
When
you click the link to migrate your extent, more detailed information
is displayed.
Attributes
The
following attributes are displayed in the first table:
- Progress
(%)
- Displays the percentage complete of the background copy,
except
when the state is stopping.
- VDisk ID
- Displays
the identifier of the VDisk. The detailed information
includes the VDisk Name.
- Source MDisk ID
- Displays the ID of the source MDisk that data is being migrated
from. The detailed information includes the Source MDisk Name.
- Target MDisk ID
- Displays the identifier
of the target MDisk. The detailed information
includes the Target MDisk Name.
- Extents
- Displays the number of extents that are being migrated.
- Threads
- Displays the number of threads
that is being used for the migration
process.
- Copy ID
- Displays the identifier
of the VDisk copy whose extents
are being migrated.
The following detailed
attributes are displayed
in the second table:
- VDisk ID
- Displays the
identifier of the VDisk for which data is being migrated.
- VDisk Name
- Displays the name of the
VDisk.
- Source MDisk ID
- Displays
the ID of the source MDisk that data is being migrated
from.
- Source MDisk Name
- Displays
the name of the source MDisk that data is being migrated
from.
- Target MDisk ID
- Displays
the identifier of the target MDisk that data is being
migrated to.
- Target MDisk Name
- Displays
the name of the target MDisk that data is being migrated
to.
Actions
The
following actions are available:
- Go
- Click
this button after selecting a task from the task list. Clicking Go launches
the panel for the task that you selected.
Note: Only filter tasks
are available from the task list.
- Refresh
- Click this button to refresh the table with changed values.
- Close
- Click this button to exit the
panel.
