Use
the VDisk Recovery Results panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
view the results of a virtual disk (VDisk) recovery operation.
Attributes
The
following attributes are displayed in the table:
- Name
- Displays the name of the VDisk.
- State
- Displays the state of the VDisk. The following values are possible:
- Offline
- Indicates that the VDisk is unavailable. One or more of the managed
disks (MDisks) that make up the VDisk are degraded or offline and
consequently the VDisk is unavailable.
- Online
- Indicates that the VDisk is available. All the MDisks that make
up the VDisk are available.
- Degraded
- Indicates that the status of the VDisk is degraded. A VDisk is
degraded if the VDisk is online to one node and offline to the other
node or if the VDisk is online to one node and the other node is missing.
The status of a VDisk is online if the MDisk group that is presenting
the VDisk is online.
- Space-efficient
- Displays whether the VDisk is space-efficient. A space-efficient
VDisk has different virtual capacity and real capacity. In a standard
VDisk, the virtual capacity and real capacity are the same. The following
values are possible:
- Yes
- Indicates that the VDisk is space-efficient.
- No
- Indicates that the VDisk is not space-efficient.
- Copies
- Displays the number of VDisk copies. A value greater than one
indicates mirroring is enabled on this VDisk.
- Recovery Result
- Indicates
the current state of the recovery process. The following
results are possible:
- Recovery
Started
- Indicates that the recovery process is started but
not completed.
The Progress bar indicates that the recovery process is running. You
can click Stop to end the recovery process.
- Recovered
- Indicates that the VDisk
recovery is complete and the VDisk is
now online.
- Repairing
- Indicates
that the space-efficient VDisk or copies are repairing.
As part of the VDisk Recovery process, a repair process for corrupted
metadata is started for space-efficient VDisks and copies.
- error code
- Displays
the error code that occurred during the
recovery of the VDisk. You can click the error code to display details
on the error code.
