The disk drive cables must be removed
if they become defective
or if you want to replace them.
Perform
the following steps to remove
the disk drive cables from the SAN
Volume Controller 2145-4F2 node:
- Turn off the node while
ensuring that its data is mirrored and synchronized. See MAP 5350: Powering off a SAN Volume Controller node for
more information.
- Remove the node from the rack
and place it on a flat, static-protective surface. See Removing the SAN Volume Controller from a rack.
- Remove the top cover. See Removing the top cover.
- Disconnect the SCSI signal connector
and the
power connector
from the back
of the disk drive, as shown in Figure 1,
and then remove the cable. Figure 1. SAN

now.
