Use the Viewing Remote Authentication Properties on the SAN Volume Controller Console to
view attributes for the remote authentication service which is used
by remote users to access the cluster.
Attributes
The
following attributes are displayed:
- Remote Authentication
- Indicates whether the selected cluster uses a remote service to
authenticate users to the cluster. The following values are possible:
- Enabled
- Indicates that the cluster uses a remote service to authenticate
users to the cluster.
- Disabled
- Indicates that the cluster does not use a remote service to authenticate
users to the cluster. All SAN Volume Controller operations
that are requested by locally authenticated users operate normally.
However, all SAN Volume Controller operations
that are requested by remotely authenticated users fail.
- Web Address
- Displays the Web address of the remote authentication service. SAN Volume Controller supports
both an IPv4 or an IPv6 network addresses for the remote authentication
service.
- User Name
- Displays the name of the HTTP basic authentication
user name which is one of the authentication credentials that is required
to obtain service from the remote authentication server. The system
administrator of the remote authentication service configures and
provides the HTTP basic authentication user name that is used by SAN Volume Controller.
- Password
- Indicates whether the current user has a HTTP
basic authentication password configured. The HTTP basic authentication
password is one of the authentication credentials that is required
to obtain service from the remote authentication server. The system
administrator of the remote authentication service configures and
provides the HTTP basic authentication password that is used by SAN Volume Controller.
The following values are possible:
- Configured
- Indicates that the current user has a password configured.
- –
- Indicates that no password has been configured for the current
user.
- SSL Certificate
- Indicates whether the SSL certificate is configured. The maximum
file length for the SSL certificate is 2048 bytes. The following values
are possible:
- Configured
- Indicates that an SSL certificate is configured.
- –
- Indicates that an SSL certificate in not supplied.
Actions
The
following actions are available:
- Refresh Authentication Cache
- Click this button to invalidate the passwords and
token cache and should be used after changing the directory configuration
of the remote authentication service to ensure that SAN Volume Controller does
not use an out-of-date copy of the user's groups.
- Close
- Click this button to exit the panel.
