Use
the Selecting the Auxiliary VDisk panel in the Create a Metro
or Global Mirror Relationship wizard to select the virtual disk (VDisk)
that
you want to use as the auxiliary VDisk in this relationship.
Introduction
When
you create a Metro
Mirror or Global Mirror relationship,
the master VDisk is always assigned
the role of primary (source), and the auxiliary VDisk is assigned
the role
of secondary (target). The copy direction is always from master VDisk
to auxiliary
VDisk. You can switch the copy direction at a later time.
Note: - The master VDisk and the auxiliary VDisk must have the same capacity.
- For an intracluster relationship, the master VDisk and the auxiliary
VDisk
must be in the same I/O group.
- For an intercluster relationship,
a partnership must be defined between
the local and remote clusters.
