Use the Viewing Metro and Global Mirror Relationship Details
panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
view details about a Metro
Mirror or Global Mirror relationship.
Attributes
The
following attributes are displayed in the table:
- ID
- Displays the system-assigned ID for this relationship.
- Name
- Displays the name of this relationship.
- State
- Displays the current state of the relationship. The following
states are possible:
- Inconsistent Stopped
- Indicates that the primary VDisk is accessible for read and write
input/output (I/O) operations but the secondary VDisk is not accessible
for either. A copy process must be started to make the secondary VDisk
consistent.
- Inconsistent Copying
- Indicates that the primary VDisk is accessible for read and write
I/O operations but the secondary VDisk is not accessible for either.
This state is entered after a Start command
is issued to a consistency group that is in the Inconsistent Stopped
state. This state is also entered when a Start command
is issued with the force option to a consistency group in the Idling
or Consistent Stopped state.
- Consistent Stopped
- Indicates that the secondary VDisk contains a consistent image,
but it might be out-of-date with respect to the primary VDisk. This
state can occur when a relationship is in the Consistent Synchronized
state and experiences an error which forces a freeze of the consistency
group. This state can also occur when a relationship is created with
the CreateConsistentFlag set to TRUE.
- Consistent Synchronized
- Indicates that the primary VDisk is accessible for read and write
I/O operations. The secondary VDisk is accessible for read-only I/O
operations.
- Idling
- Indicates that the master VDisks and auxiliary VDisks are operating
in the primary role. Therefore, both VDisks are accessible for write
I/O operations.
- Idling Disconnected
- Indicates that the VDisks in this half of the consistency group
are all operating in the primary role and can accept read or write
I/O operations.
- Inconsistent Disconnected
- Indicates that the VDisks in this half of the consistency group
are all operating in the secondary role and cannot accept read or
write I/O operations.
- Consistent Disconnected
- Indicates that the VDisks in this half of the consistency group
are all operating in the secondary role and can accept read I/O operations
but not write I/O operations.
- Empty
- Indicates that the consistency group does not contain any Metro
Mirror or Global Mirror relationships.
- Relationship Connectivity State
- Indicates that the connectivity state of the relationship. The
following types are possible:
- Online
- Primary (Offline)
- Secondary (Offline)
- I/O Channel Offline
- Copy Type
- Indicates the copy type of the relationship. The following types
are possible:
- Master Cluster ID
- Displays the system-assigned ID of the cluster that contains the
master virtual disk (VDisk).
- Master Cluster Name
- Displays the name of the cluster that contains the master VDisk.
- Master Virtual Disk ID
- Displays the system-assigned ID of the master VDisk.
- Master Virtual Disk Name
- Displays the name of the master VDisk.
- Auxiliary Cluster ID
- Displays the system-assigned ID of the cluster that contains the
auxiliary VDisk.
- Auxiliary Cluster Name
- Displays the name of the cluster that contains the auxiliary VDisk.
- Auxiliary Virtual Disk ID
- Displays the system-assigned ID of the auxiliary VDisk.
- Auxiliary Virtual Disk Name
- Displays the name of the auxiliary VDisk.
- Primary
- Indicates which VDisk is the primary VDisk. The following values
are possible.
- Master
- The master VDisk is the primary VDisk. Data is copied from the
master VDisk to the auxiliary VDisk.
- Auxiliary
- The auxiliary VDisk is the primary VDisk. Data is copied from
the auxiliary VDisk to the master VDisk.
- N/A
- The copy direction is not applicable.
- Consistency Group ID
- Displays the system-assigned ID of the consistency group that
contains the relationship.
- Consistency Group Name
- Displays the name of the consistency group that contains the relationship.
- Background Copy Rate
- Displays the background copy rate for this mapping. The value
selected can be either the number 1 - 100 to indicate the background
copy rate (a higher number indicates a faster copy rate) or NOCOPY,
where the background copy process is disabled.
- Progress
- Displays the percentage of the primary VDisk that has been successfully
copied to the secondary VDisk. This value can be 0% - 100%.
- Freeze Time
- Displays the time when the consistency group was frozen. The time
is in the YY/MM/DD/HH/MM format.
Note: The freeze time only applies
to Metro
Mirror or Global Mirror relationships
that are part of a consistency group.
- Synchronization Status
- The following values are possible:
- Synchronized
- The secondary VDisk is consistent and up-to-date.
- Unsynchronized
- The secondary VDisk is not consistent and up-to-date.
- N/A
- The synchronization status is not applicable.
