Use the Switching the Direction of Metro or
Global Mirror Relationship
panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
reverse the roles of the primary and secondary virtual disks (VDisks)
in a
Metro Mirror or Global Mirror relationship.
Introduction
To
reverse the roles, the secondary VDisk must be a consistent
copy. When the relationship was created, a master and an auxiliary
VDisk were
specified. The primary is the master VDisk. When the relationship
is switched,
the primary becomes the auxiliary VDisk. It also means that data
is copied
from the auxiliary to the master.
