Removing the
SAN Volume Controller 2145-4F2
microprocessor fan
Perform the following steps to remove the microprocessor fan:
Turn off the node while ensuring that its data is mirrored and synchronized.

Remove the node from the rack and place it on a flat, static-protective surface.

Remove the top cover.

Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
Note:
The fans are numbered from one to four, from left to right, as shown in
Figure 1
.
Lift the fan upward out of the retaining clip.
Note:
To remove the fourth fan, first remove the third fan, then move the fourth fan to the left before lifting it.
