You might need to remove a version of software to replace
it with a previous version.
You can only replace versions of software by previous
versions if the major number in the software version has not changed.
If the major number in the software version has changed, contact the
IBM Support Center before proceeding.
Note: The software version
number is in the format x.y.z where x is a version release
number, y is a major number, and z is a minor number.
For example, version number 1.2.3 has a version release number of
1, a major number of 2, and a minor number of 3. This number determines
whether software versions can revert to the previous version. It is
not possible to revert a version of software to a version that has
a lower major number. For example, if version 1.2.3 is running on
the cluster, it can be replaced with version 1.2.2 or 1.2.1 but it
cannot be replaced with version 1.1.6.
