Removing the support rails for the SAN Volume Controller 2145-8G4

This topic describes how to remove the SAN Volume Controller 2145-8G4 support rails.

Perform the following steps to remove the SAN Volume Controller 2145-8G4 support rails:
  1. Loosen and remove the captive screw number three and latch strike number one from the left rear mounting flange, as shown in Figure 1, to release the slide rail number two. Loosen and remove the captive screw from the right rear mounting flange and release the other slide rail in the same way.

  2. Loosen and remove the captive screw from the front of the right rail and then remove the latch strike. Remove the captive screw and latch strike from the front of the left rail in the same way.
  3. Push the rail pins number one out of the front rack mounting flange, as shown in Figure 2, to shorten the right slide rail and remove it from the front flange. Then pull the right slide rail forward to remove the slide rail from the rear rack mounting flange. Remove the left slide rail in the same way.
