Use the Renaming Node panel in the SAN Volume Controller Console to
change the current name of the node. Changing the node name alters
the iSCSI qualified name (IQN), which can require reconfiguration
of the iSCSI-attached host. If you still want to rename the node,
click Force Rename.
Attributes
The
following attributes are displayed in the table:
- Node Name
- Displays the current name of the node.
- Node ID
- Displays the system-assigned ID of the node.
- WWNN
- Displays the worldwide node name.
- I/O Group
- Displays the name of the I/O group that this node belongs to.
The default name is the string io_grp, which is followed by the system-assigned
ID.
Fields
You
can update the following fields:
- New Name
- Enter a new name for the node.
Actions
The
following actions are available:
- OK
- Click this button to rename the node.
- Force Rename
- Click this button to rename the node even though iSCSI-attached
hosts may require reconfiguration as a result.
Note: This
action only displays if the node that is being renamed attaches to
iSCSI hosts.
- Cancel
- Click this button to exit the panel with without renaming the
node.
