The following notes describe information that you must
consider when you install a hard-disk drive.
- Locate the documentation that comes with the disk drive and follow
those instructions in addition to the instructions in this topic.
- Make sure that you have all the cables and other equipment that
are specified in the documentation that comes with the drive.
- Install the boot drive in drive bay 4. Drive bays 0,1,2, and 3
are available for solid-state drives (SSDs).
- Check the instructions that come with the drive to determine whether
you have to set any switches or jumpers on the drive. Set the SAS
ID for the device, if necessary.
