settimezone

Use the settimezone command to set the time zone for the cluster.

Parameters

-timezone timezone_arg
Specifies the time zone to set for the cluster.

Description

This command sets the time zone for the cluster. Use the -timezone parameter to specify the numeric ID of the time zone that you want to set. Issue the svcinfo lstimezones command to list the time-zones that are available on the cluster. A list of valid time-zones settings are displayed in a list.

The time zone that this command sets will be used when formatting the error log that is produced by issuing the following command:

svctask dumperrlog

Note: If you have changed the timezone, you must clear the error log dump directory before you can view the error log through the Web application.

Issue the svcinfo showtimezone command to display the current time-zone settings for the cluster. The cluster ID and its associated time-zone are displayed. Issue the svctask setclustertime command to set the time for the cluster.

An invocation example

svctask settimezone -timezone 5
