The first step for attaching the SGI Origin host is to
install the host bus adapter (HBA).
Before you install the HBA, ensure that the adapter is supported
by the
SAN Volume Controller.

To install the HBA, use the following general steps:
- Shut down your host and its attached peripherals, following
the manufacturer's recommendations.
- Install the HBA, using the manufacturer's installation
instructions.
