Welcome to the SAN Volume Controller Console: Panel help

The Welcome panel is the entry point to manage a SAN Volume Controller cluster.

The navigation area provides links that you can use to perform the following actions:

View properties for the cluster
View and manage user authentication
Note: To view and manage user authentication, you must have the Security administrator role.
Manage current user settings
Manage passwords for the cluster
Modify the IP address of the cluster
Set the date, time, and time zone for the cluster
Collect statistics for the cluster
Shut down the cluster
Manage nodes and I/O groups
View the progress of migration, removal, formatting and Copy Services tasks
Manage managed disks (MDisks) and MDisk groups
View and rename disk controller systems
View the status of LUN discovery processes
Manage hosts
Manage virtual disks (VDisks) and VDisk-to-host mappings
Manage FlashCopy®, Metro Mirror, and Global Mirror Copy Services
Upgrade the SAN Volume Controller software
Run maintenance procedures
View fabrics
Modify SNMP error-notification settings
Set e-mail features
Analyze error logs
Configure license settings
View license settings logs
Dump cluster configuration data into a file
View cluster configuration dump files
Back up the cluster configuration data file
Delete the backup of the cluster configuration file
View and manage CIMOM logs

Note: If the SAN Volume Controller Console does not display, make sure that your Web browser does not have a pop-up blocker enabled.
