The maintenance analysis procedures (MAPs) inform you how
to analyze a failure that occurs with a SAN Volume Controller node.
SAN Volume Controller nodes
must be configured in pairs so you can perform concurrent maintenance.
When
you service one
SAN Volume Controller node,
the other node keeps the storage area network (SAN) operational. With
concurrent maintenance, you can remove, replace, and test all field
replaceable units (FRUs) on one
SAN Volume Controller node
while the SAN and host systems are powered on and doing productive
work.
